{ FAQ }
Q: Who are you?
A: My name is K. Lynn Smith, and while going to school for animation, I fell in love with the comic world when I got a job as a cartoonist for the college newspaper. From there, I began the unhealthy obsession of writing my own graphic novel, and through more drafts than I care to admit, out came Plume. Originally, Plume had more of a modern setting, but when I considered my love for “ye olde days”, it all just clicked.
Q: What sort of time period does “Plume” take place exactly?
A: The time period is early 1900s, but it is a universe of my own creation. This is not historical fiction. I want it to feel like our world, but with some creative wiggle room.
Q: What genre does “Plume” fall into?
A: Western adventure & fantasy, I reckon.
Q: Why can’t anyone touch Corrick’s skin?
A: All will be revealed in good time.
Q: How often do you update?
A: As often as I can!
Q: How long does each page take you?
A: Each page takes about 6 hours, give or take. It really depends on those darn backgrounds.
Q: What programs/tools do you use?
A: I use the glorious Photoshop CS4 and an ancient Wacom tablet. They’re m’girls! I love them dearly.
Q: Where’s her necklace in the first few pages?!
A: Tucked safely away in her leather “fanny pack”.
Q: I would like to send you fanart. Where can I send it?
A: And I’d like to kiss you flat on the mouth. Send it to contact@plumecomic.com.
Q: I would like to translate your comic into [insert language], is that okay?
A: Uh, yes! Not only am I extremely flattered but extremely impressed. Just note me on the link and I will connect it to the site.
Q: Are you going to print “Plume”?
A: YES! Stay tuned.

Obsessed. This is the best. Your art is beyond amazing and the story is deliciously intriguing. keep it up my friend!
I would just like to comment that I love this comic! It’s easy to see how much love and time you put into it. I just found it recently, and unfortunately I missed the Kickstarter! Do you know if you’ll be doing more printings in the future, possibly for the first handful of chapters when you get that far? I’ll be keeping an eye out, since I would very much enjoy a print copy of this!
Thank you! Yes, once all the orders for Kickstarter are fulfilled, I plan on getting some copies to sell on the site. Stay tuned!
Suuuuuper bummed I missed your last Kickstarter! Any plans on having future ones? I’ll totally be all over them like…like…flies at a roadside fruit stand in the middle of July.
Keep up the stellar work, and keep on being made of win and awesome sauce!

I have a question, I would like to learn your style, how would you name this type of illustration?

Not sure if you’ve seen this, but the glowing eyes in particular put me in mind of a certain someone…
You print, I’ll buy – ALL OF IT!
Your artwork is clearly genius~ I dunno if it’s on purpose but you use of conventions are awe-inspiring! <3 <3
I’m really liking the art style and direction of this comic thus far. Cannot wait to read more. I’m already on board for Vesper x Corick. XD And both their powers/roles/personalities are so interesting!
I can already tell I’m gonna buy this when it’s printed.
Welp, there goes another comic into my webcomic bookmarks.

Your comic is great! I really like your style, especially your stylized lines and your choice of color. Can’t wait to see more! C:
Your art work is brilliant! I love the concept of this story and cant wait to see more.
I really enjoy Plume, and I was wondering if you have any previous webcomics out there ready to be perused by people who really enjoy your style.
(Keep up the good work!)
AHA! it all makes sense now!
first of all, i LOVE ur comic (i’ve commented that somewhere else on this site before)! the style, story, characters, EVERYTHING.
second, NOW i know why i thought of fullmetal alchemist (for some strange reason it popped into my noggin) when i read ur comic! i looked at ur deviantart page and u draw fullmetal alchemist stuff (verrry well, i might add)! if someone’s as familiar with fma as i am (a closeted fan, actually) they can easily see its influence in ur drawing style! but, that doesn’t mean urs doesn’t have it’s own style, ur drawing style is still distince and AWESOME
i feel like i’ve come across a hidden gem <3
(tho, with the internet as it is, it won't be that way for long)
Wow I stumbled upon your comic today and I already love it! Can’t wait for the next update!
I second the update question! Loving this so far
I l-l-l-l-laaave your comic already from the first page! I found it and thought ‘Wow this art is amazing!’, very inspiring and the era has to be my favourite!

i first found you on deviantart, and have been following it ever since. i will diffly be bying your comic when it comes out
i want to go to callage for animation! i just hope i get to become as good as you!!! keep it up, i really cant get enuff lol i look at this website more than twice aday just to see if you put anything new up
So far the art is gorgeous and a treat. If you had decided to animate this story instead it would have passed in about 30 seconds with all of this lurvely wurk going unnoticed, so thank you for being so old fashioned! Wonderful understated quality, like the dancing light when V. is at the bottom of the lake, and the polished characters who can already speak without saying anything. Art you trying to get an Eisner award or something?
Are there any specific things (movies, pictures, music, etc.) that inspired a lot of Plume?
OOH I love your comic! I love his shiny white hair and awesome yellow eyes +_+!!! My grandma’s name is Lynn Smith! 8D
I am thinking of starting a webcomic but it’s…so..hard!! and I am lazy procrastinator >: I have lots of respect for anyone who makes webcomics! xD
Just how did you come up with so many awesome names like vesper?
A friend of mine who is perdy darn cool. You wouldn’t know him.
What does Plume mean? (Too lazy to Google it)
Also, can you assign days on when you update? Like M-W-F or something?
It breaks my heart when I visit the site and see no update. </3
Hey! I really love your comic, and I was wondering if it’s going to be romantic at all? It almost kills me to think nothing might be done with Corricks hotness
Again, love your comic and art!a
