The new site looks great! I love the layout so far 😀

  • Battersea

Ooooo I’m loving everything so far

  • Only complaint for the new layout is having to scroll down so much on the main page to see the comic. Not a great idea to completely hide your main draw, I think! Otherwise, looking good so far! and YAAAAS NEW CHARACTER.

    New site is awesome!!! 😀

  • Morgan

This new site is AMAZING OMG

  • Sydnee

    I was really excited to see the black cowboy-looking guy, and then I randomly thought of Will Smith in “Wild Wild West” with a beard and now I can’t get that out of my head ;;___;;

    I love the new site!

  • PLUME, BABY!! YOU’RE BACK!!<3 *choir of angels singing in background*

I know it’s still a work in progress, but I’m so happy and so impressed with the updated design (love all the jQuery UI action happening, ahem) and the artwork spread on the homepage is sooo EPIC! And hints a bit at future events maybe… maybe… eh? *nudge, nudge* But I’m kinda bummed that our old comments are GONE??? Did they get into that too? Damn. I guess once the access name is compromised it’s not safe to use again. And Disqus won’t let you change it 🙁 But still, can’t you export the old XML thread and import into this new one? Something? Anything?? *sobs* Ah well, no worries… we just gotta work twice as hard form this point forward to fill the comments section again, hehe 😉

Congratulations on the comeback, K.Lynn!! *HIGH FIVE*

I know! I am so bummed! The comments were my favorite part! I’m trying to figure out if I can export the comments back into each page…

      • There is a way but it may take a little bit of work. As far as I know, if you changed your comic CMS or renamed the pages, that may cause a change in your URLs – which is what threw off the old comments from reappearing on it’s corresponding page. So now it’s like you have to remap your old URLs to the new ones made here. So you have to know what your old URL format looked like for the old pages. Disqus has a handy URL Mapper tool under “/admin /discussions /migrate” that can you help fix this. There’s also this article here that explains the steps if you decide to try it out 😉 If I come across a more efficient way, I’ll let you know~

Have you done this before? Might there be a chance you could help me out on it? I will have a lovely commission for you!

It’s just heartbreaking that I lost all those comments… 🙁

        • plumecomic

Thanks to this advice, I was able to get 90% of the comments back! THANK YOU!

          • It’s no problem at all, glad to help with a solution! Luckily Disqus has such a neat tool for this kind of problem^^. Funny thing though, I saw a completely different msg in my email today, and now I see this one instead, lol *scratches head*. But I’m really glad you managed to work it out. And I see the site’s been tweaked again too. Lookin’ awesome 😉

          • plumecomic

Haha, yes, I had asked for help, but after going through it, I thought I might be able to handle it. And I did! I still owe you a commission for the help though! 🙂

          • Wow, K.Lynn, that is extremely kind of you! Thank you very much!! But to be fair, I honestly interpreted your offer to be in exchange for the actual task of doing the mapping file, and not just the suggestion itself. So I wouldn’t feel right to say that I am owed anything at all… in fact, my ‘reward’ is simply knowing that it worked out and the comments can be seen again. I’m genuinely happy to help in any way, always, no strings attached. 😉

*grabs your face and whispers* You’re one of my favorites…
